Finding Texas Public Records - or, How FIVE MINUTES Changed a Life

I’m sure you are here looking for Texas public records for a good reason – and let me tell you this RIGHT NOW – if you are here because you’re “just curious” or you “have a hunch” about someone – DON'T LEAVE UNTIL YOU READ THIS!!!

Let me start off by telling you what you already know.  Texas is a darn big place and looking up Texas public records can be really overwhelming!  I found this out first-hand when I was trying to find out some information on a person who was involved with one of my children.  Here’s the deal – I didn’t know ANYTHING BAD about this person – but I had that little voice inside telling me there was something not right.  A friend of mine says it this way: “They don’t pass the sniff-test”.  I know you’ve had that feeling before, but most of the time it’s about someone or something that isn’t going to really matter in your life.

But if you get that gut-feeling about something IMPORTANT – DO NOT IGNORE IT!!!

To make a long story short, my daughter's fiance wasn't being really clear with her on whether he was actually divorced.  That was all mom needed to hear before getting online and checking it out.  That’s when I found out that finding Texas public records is a convoluted nightmare!!!   Everywhere I checked was a dead end, or some place where you had to fill out a form and wait a month!

After a few days of frustration, I stumbled on the Government Records site and what I found out in the space of FIVE MINUTES was shocking!!!!!  Not only was he not divorced, they had a lengthy criminal history, had filed for bankruptcy less than a year before (okay I’m not knocking bankruptcy, it happens) and had an ACTIVE ARREST WARRANT!!

Now I can tell you my child was NOT very happy that mom had gone snooping like this.  In fact she was so angry that she stopped speaking to us for about two weeks. Like most children, she came to her senses.  There was no wedding.  The fiancé was gone.  And mom was super-relieved!!

So here’s the deal – if you are looking for Texas public records, please check out this site.  There are lots of sites that sell public records online, but I can attest to this one being QUICK and COMPLETE.  No matter WHAT you decide to do, please DO NOT ignore that little voice.  If it’s wrong, that would be GREAT.  But usually it’s not.

Be safe, protect yourself, your friends and your children, and God Bless!!
